Commercial Doors & Hardware

We are eager to work directly with General Contractors, Architects, Designers, and Owners to assist in the early stages of project planning as it relates to the Architectural Doors, Frames and Finish Hardware for your project or facility. Our reputation and experience in selling and installing Architectural Hardware combined with a developed “Partnership” with our customer affords us the opportunity to provide a “Guaranteed Proposal” whereby Contract Lumber takes ownership of this specific scope of work.

Materials

After the successful bid and before project management, is the important task of the preparation of your submittals for approval. Our Senior Project Managers and Coordinators prepare Architectural Hardware Schedules, Hollow Metal Door & Frame Shop Drawings, Wood Door Shop Drawings, FRP Shop Drawings, etc. Our experts make sure that the specified products meet Fire Code, Life/Safety Code and ADA code. We make sure that there are no conflicts between the various specified hardware items in conjunction with each other and the door or frame that they are intended to be installed on.

Project Managers are involved in their projects from 1st submittal to completion. They are responsible for the successful completion of your project. They work closely with the General Contractor and installers to coordinate deliveries in conjunction with the ever-changing construction schedule. They attend key jobsite meetings, troubleshoot special field conditions, and offer their technical expertise.

In addition to our Architectural Hardware product and service capabilities, we are proud to offer a complete line of toilet partitions, bath accessories, lockers, access panels, roof hatches, fiberglass reinforced polyester doors, mirrored closet doors, stainless steel frames and custom millwork items.

Delivery

Typically, delivery for our contract projects within proximity of our several locations is made by our own Contract Lumber trucks and drivers. All deliveries made by our fleet are coordinated with your site specific conditions and/or requirements. If Contract Lumber is not installing your delivered materials, we will check-in each hardware item with your job superintendant or installer to assure all products are complete and accounted for. Direct shipments for larger projects are coordinated with the same precision by our respective manufacturer’s trucks.

Construction

Contract Lumber door technicians have installed complete openings in projects throughout the United States. From a single opening to hundreds of openings, we work closely with the General Contractor or Owner to handle a full range of opening requirements. We can install a complete opening or just a needed component of hardware. We install all types of door hardware including locksets, closers, exit devices, thresholds, weather-stripping, flush bolts, toilet partitions, bath accessories and more! Our Technicians are well versed in the field modification of doors and frames including cutting in vision panels or louvers, relocating hollow metal hinge and strike cutouts and undercutting doors. In addition we offer full fabrication services and specialty items on a “Quick Ship” basis.
